“I would like you to be free from concern. An unmarried man is concerned about the Lord’s affairs— how he can please the Lord. But a married man is concerned about the affairs of this world— how he can please his wife— and his interests are divided. An unmarried woman is concerned about the Lord’s affairs: Her aim is to be devoted to the Lord in both body and spirit. But a married woman is concerned about the affairs of this world — how she can please her husband. I am saying this for your own good, not to restrict you, but that you may live in a right way in undivided devotion to the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 7:32-35)
Indeed, real love can wait.
Love does not insist on its own way. It is patient and liberating, freeing us from fears and deterrence.
We can never conceal the misleading path of misinterpreted love. The trail which we journey where emotions are too insisting and overwhelming, but sadly, self-willed and/or impure. We may be led to believe that this love is worth the fight because there’s an “us-against-the-world” kind of feeling or maybe because you think that he/she is the best thing that ever happened to you even though that person never see your real worth. You are mistaken. God is hurt seeing you hurt, seeing you striving so much to prove to someone that you are worth it. He is hurting because you keep on searching in the wrong places.
I hope you’ll wake up as soon as possible and know that you deserve better because you are destined to enjoy pure and authentic love.
Yes, you are destined to a love which would not just satisfy or please you, but will also glorify your God, and fulfill His plans.

Jesus declared that the most important of all the commandments is to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” followed by, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” And so we are called to love and understand love, first, with the guidance of the Lord. We are permitted to prepare ourselves first before diving into a matter which needs to be prayed for: earnestly, lovingly and patiently.

As we wait for the person whom God has prepared for us:
First
Let’s allow ourselves to be pursued by God before anyone else does. Let’s allow God to be known by our own heart. Let’s allow Him to catch us in every fall, to be a listener of our complaints and fears. Let’s acknowledge Him to be the reason of our smiles. Allow ourselves to receive our real identity and worth which comes from Him alone. Let’s honor the plans He has for us; accept His perfect timing and ways; and, be one with Him on becoming the man/woman that He destined us to be.
Second
Wait with the Lord.
Pray without ceasing. Pray for patience and courage to be patient. Pray that you may be the man/woman God destined you to be. Be ready to learn, relearn, and unlearn things needed for your journey. Be willing to be continuously refined by Him. Devote yourself on being the best person God intends you to be.
Remember that you are not alone in waiting.
Third
Rejoice!
Be glad in faith and hope, for God is faithful.
“I am saying this for your own good, not to restrict you, but that you may live in a right way in undivided devotion to the Lord.”
“Guarding your heart isn’t about repressing romance or pretending it doesn’t exist. It’s about making yourself ready for it.” I agree. We have to be complete first by God’s love before totally committing ourselves in uniting with the person God prepared for us.
God wants us to realize that He is not a dictator but a friend and a Father who knows what’s best for us.
Indeed, real love can wait.
Love isn’t delayed, nor quick. It is fair, and banishes fears.
Love bears all things.
Believes all things.
Hopes all things.
And, endures all things.
