“Friend, Baka Naman…”
We often hear these words uttered so many times in Filipino conversations like “Sis, baka naman” “Dude, baka naman” (Sis, I hope that…” “Dude, I have a favor to ask”), knowing that by using these words, our short-term desires could benefit us even in a small time or in an instant. In filipino language, even in a discussion, this phrase has evolved into so many variants like from queer expression language, street style conversations, and more as you name it! It’s young, easy to understand, and already expressive. Altogether we say, “Baka naman!”
What if you have a friend that has so much potential in creative writing and they don’t even know that they have that potential, and you’re the friend that will trigger their creative freedom into boundless possibilities? Would you suppress it?
What if you know a person that has so many thoughts, yet they tend to draw in their mind in a storage receptacle bin because there’s no chance or way for them to express this fluid of feelings or thoughts that they have at the moment? What would you feel?
I know in this moment of time where we, the young people of a certain age, are immensely stuck with school, our circles, or others may have their responsibilities given from their organizations or in the Church, we too can be exhausted just by thinking and doing these tasks that are in front of us. The only escape we have is rest and may wish the world to stop moving and breathe.
What if I told you that there is a platform where your intertwined thoughts or sometimes twisted capabilities can be explored? A platform where you can freely express your thoughts, your experiences, and even a companion to help you expound your capabilities as a creative person!
